Norman James “Jim” Pearce, 67, of Hoopeston, passed away at 5:42 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at his home.
He was born Dec. 23, 1945, in Florence, Ariz., the son of Milton and Opal (Meyers) Pearce.
He married Donna M. Jones on Dec. 15, 1993, in Fowler, Ind. She survives in Hoopeston.
Jim also is survived by two daughters, six sons, two sisters, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one brother.
Jim drove a semi for Ravens Trucking before retiring. He served in the United States Army and attended the First Church of God in Hoopeston. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Anderson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Hoopeston American Legion and VFW posts. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery.
