PERRYSVILLE, Ind. —
William Swearingen, 84, of Perrysville, Ind., passed away at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1928, in Danville, the son of Chester Lee and Ruth Mae (Clawson) Swearingen.
He married Carol Middleton in June of 1985 in Cayuga, Ind. She survives.
Surviving him are four children, David A. (Karla) Jones, William L. (Hau) Swearingen, Micheal (Kim) Swearingen and Tammy J. (Robert) Myers; one stepson, Monte (Gina) Cox; five grandchildren, Casey, Andrew, Christopher, Matthew and Breanna; and one step-granddaughter, Jenny Cox.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Timothy Jones.
He graduated from Danville High School and went on to get his associate’s degree in electronics. He worked for Eureka and R&S Printing until retiring in 1996. William loved being outdoors.
A celebration of William’s life will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Sunset Memorial Park’s Chapel Mausoleum, with Pastor James Blue officiating.
