HENDERSON, Nev. —
William J. Felix, 89, of Henderson, Nev., passed away March 6, 2013.
He was born April 22, 1923, in Indiana and raised in Hoopeston, Ill.
Bill served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was injured and received the Purple Heart.
In 1952, Bill moved to Whittier, Calif., and served 40 years in education, retiring from the West Covina Unified School District. In 2000 he and his wife, Lorraine, moved to Henderson, Nev.
He enjoyed traveling and was an active participant in the Black Mountain Detachment of the Marine Corps in Henderson, Nev.
