Sandra Marlene (Lamb) Miller, 66, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:35 a.m., April 13, 2014, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
She was born March 29, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan., the daughter of Elwin ‘Pete’ and Bessie (Novok) Lamb.
She was wed to Lamar Hoffman in 1962. She was later wed to Steven Miller in 1988 until his passing in 2003.
She is survived by her son, David (Melissa) Hoffman of Westville; her grandchildren, Shaley and Matthew Hoffman of Westville, Derek and Dustin Peterson of Indiana, and James and Carley Woolwine of Westville; her brothers, Danny (Kayleen) Lamb of Plainville, Kan., Jerry (Faye) Lamb of Great Bend, Kan., and Rick (Susan) Lamb of Hoisington, Kan.; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Nancy Lamb and Glennis McNett; and her brother, Leroy Lamb.
Sandra and her husband, Lamar, owned and operated Hoffman Radiator Shop in Claflin, Kan. She later worked for the Specialty Gift Shop in Salina, Kan. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Lions Club in Dover, Okla. She was a Scout Mother, as well as a football and wrestling Mom. She loved to travel to Kansas and visit with her family. Sandra enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and going to Las Vegas to have fun. Most of all, Sandra truly cherished the time she spent with her family.
A Memorial Service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor James Blue officiating. As per her wishes, she will be cremated and later will be laid to rest in Cunningham Cemetery in Cunningham, Kan.
