Lillian Lucille Totheroh, 89, of Wellington, passed away at 3:27 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Heritage Manor Rehabilitation & Senior Living in Hoopeston.
She was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Tab, Ind., the daughter of Ray and Inez (McCormick) Lucas.
She married G. Maurice Totheroh on Feb. 24, 1946, in Wellington. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Satterwhite and Debbie (Gary) Kinnett, all of Rossville; two sons, Gary (Sharon) Totheroh and Tim (Angie) Totheroh all of Wellington; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and a brother.
Lillian was a homemaker and also worked alongside her husband, Maurice, for many years, taking care of the family farm. She was a member of Prairie Green Church of Christ and was previously active in its women’s group. Lillian enjoyed doing volunteer work for The American Red Cross and March of Dimes. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Friday April 18, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. The funeral service will begin at noon Friday April 18, at the funeral home, with Rev. Dustin Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
