David (Digger) O’Dell passed away at home on Friday, April 11, 2014, at the age of 60.
Born May 15, 1953, David lived in Danville, Ill., until moving to Covington, La., in 2004.
He was an employee of Covington Super Wal-Mart, and formerly employed by District 118 schools in Danville.
He was the loving husband to Karen “Jeanette” Rhodes O’Dell; stepfather to Casey Pritchard of Covington, La., Dustin Pritchard (Lynelle) of Des Allemands, La.; also survived by four step-grandchildren, Aaron Pritchard, Annleigh Pritchard, Maegan Breaux and Shelby Breaux; one sister, Jennie Howell (Mike); nephew Shawn O’Dell (Tina), great-nephew Paul O’Dell, all of North Port, Fla.; great-niece Melinda O’Dell; great-great-niece Alana Lytle of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one aunt, Virginia Smith of Danville.
He also will be greatly missed by his best friend, James Bryan “Lizard” and Bri Bryan of Danville; also his fellow members of the Widowmakers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Virginia O’Dell of Danville.
At David’s request, services will be private.
