CHRISMAN — Bonita Lee Wyatt, age 90, of Chrisman, passed away at 6:05 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 14, at United Methodist Church, Chrisman. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, at the United Methodist Church, Chrisman. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Chrisman. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church.
She was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Harrisburg, the daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Crawford Richards.
Bonita married Robert E. “Rod” Wyatt Feb. 14, 1948, in Chrisman and he passed away July 24, 2010.
She is survived by her son, Jack (Judy) Wyatt of Chrisman; her grandchildren, Jacob Wyatt of Danville and Joanna Wyatt of Chrisman; one cousin and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dalton.
Bonita was a homemaker, active in several local clubs and church groups, served as an election judge for many years as well as serving on the Chrisman Library Board. A member of the Danville Art League, she was an avid oil and watercolor painter.
She was a graduate of the Burnham School of Nursing, Champaign. Bonita was never employed as an RN, but she volunteered when needed in this capacity. Bonita was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chrisman where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
