Sharon R. Oreskovich

Sharon Rae Oreskovich of Danville departed this life and began her new journey on Oct. 26, 2013.

She was the centerpiece of her loving and devoted family along with Tom, her lifelong partner and husband of 57 years.

Sharon dedicated her life to her children, Tom, Steve, Mary (Adams), Ben, and Bill, including their spouses, Kim, Laurie, Wade, Aly and Angie. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Melinda, Katie, Emily, Doug, Melissa, Drew, Bryentt, Abby, Nick, Mason and Carson, and great-granddaughter, Emma.

Sharon was born on Dec. 22, 1937, in Paris to Benjamin and Margaret (Graham) Kelsheimer.

She is survived by her mother; brother, Mike (Kathy); and sister, Susie. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Jim. She also is survived by a large extended family, including her special sisters-in-law, Kathy Kelsheimer, Judie Kelsheimer and Mary Holycross, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sharon led a very fulfilling life as a wife, mother, and grandmother who loved exploring her family’s genealogy. She was an accomplished creator of crafts, a maker of beautiful doll houses and an expert at turning her house into a warm and inviting home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be directed to St. Paul’s Catholic Church or Second Church of Christ.

A service to celebrate the life of Sharon Oreskovich will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Drew Mentzer and Father Greg Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, also at Sunset in Danville.
