Katherine Marie Campbell Trueblood, 90, of Danville, and formerly of Terre Haute, Ind., passed away at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, at Colonial Manor in Danville.
She was born in Edgar County on June 2, 1923, to James and Nellie Hickman Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver F. Trueblood, whom she married Oct. 14, 1944.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Hogg of Danville, and two sons, David (Nancy) Trueblood and Jim (Carolyn) Trueblood, both of Columbus, Ind.; one sister, Delores (Rocky) Nelson of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Brian (Tricia) Hogg, Doug (Jessica) Trueblood, Michelle White, Lori (Chad) Shaffer, Anne (Corey) Trobuagh and Mike (Ali) Trueblood. In addition, she is survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Ashely Shields, Kailey White, Ariana Wyatt, Madeline Hogg, Abby Hogg, Cameron Trueblood, Ali Trueblood, Owen Shaffer, Ava Shaffer, Ethan Trobaugh, Morgan Trobaugh, and Bennett Trueblood; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Hogg, and two brothers, Robert Campbell and Roy Campbell.
She was a self-employed hairdresser, having had her own shop for several years. Katherine was a member of Oregon Baptist Church for more than 50 years, Order of Eastern Star (Twelve Points Chapter), the National Hairdressers Association, and the Red Hatters, and she loved to travel.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. EDT Monday, Oct. 28, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel in Terre Haute with the Rev. David Garver officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. EDT Sunday, Oct. 27, at the funeral home.
