Cheri Marie Leger, 44, of Danville, passed away at 1:19 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at her residence.
Per her wishes, Cheri will be cremated, and a memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 1303 N. Walnut St., Danville, with the Rev. Greg Nelson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice.
Cheri was born on July 26, 1969, in Danville to Ronald Kidwell and Janet (Phillips) Wustholz.
She attended Danville grade schools, Danville High School, Danville Area Community College and Danville College of Cosmetology. She later went on to take CNA classes. Cheri never met a stranger and was a most loving, caring and generous soul. She would give her last dollar to someone in need.
Her favorite pastime was reading to and playing with her daughter, Sarah, whom she loved with all her heart.
Cheri leaves behind her daughter, Sarah; her mother, Janet (Robert) Wustholz; three half siblings, Ricky Kidwell, Ronald Kidwell Jr. and Debra Kidwell; her ex-husband, Walter Leger; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; along with a very special friend, John.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father; a brother, Joseph; her uncle Bill Homza; and uncle Bill Sherman.
