DANVILLE — Vera Toler, 93, of Danville passed away at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.
She was born May 17, 1920, in Casey, Ill., the daughter of William Henry and LuLa Belle (Huffman) Beasley.
She married Leo E. Toler on Nov. 1, 1941. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1994.
She is survived by one son, Terry (Debbie) Toler of Bismarck; one daughter, Judy (Alan) Thomen of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Toler, Marci Johnson, Eric Hutson, James Taylor, Karlee Thomen and Kerra Thomen; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Vera enjoyed planting flowers and working outside in the yard. She always welcomed a game of cards and Bingo was a favorite pastime. Vera loved to spend time with her family.
A service to celebrate the life of Vera Toler will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be noon until the time of service Tuesday also at Sunset in Danville.
