Edythe Fern Barnett Brumett, 68, passed May 1, 2013, at her home in Lehi, Utah.
She was born Sept. 1, 1944, in Danville, the daughter of Walter Leon Barnett and Sarah Virginia Hope Shutes.
She graduated from Danville High School. Edye had many talents. She wrote poetry. She loved to crochet, was a great teacher, loved music, sang and directed in many choirs.
Edye was fondly called by her grandchildren, “Grandma Bubble.” She loved her family and would call them each Sunday to check on them, tell them “Hello” and that she loved them. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed doing genealogy.
Survived by her mother Virginia Barnett; daughter Buffi Brumett (Michael Washington); son Michael (Ronai) Brumett; daughter-in-law Jennifer Brumett; nine grandchildren; sisters Ginger Makemson and Diane Surtees; and brothers Walter (Chip) Barnett and Tom Barnett.
Preceded in death by her son, Joseph Samuel Brumett, and father.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. May 25 in the Danville LDS Chapel.
