CARMEL, Ind. —
Helen M. Hutnicke, a resident of Carmel, Ind., entered eternal life on March 31, 2013.
She was born June 27, 1924, in Westville, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Azari Rozgonyi. Helen was the youngest of five siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
On June 11, 1949, she married Frank P. Hutnicke, and they spent 51 years together until his death in 2000.
Helen had two children, Mary A. Bentz (Dr. Edward) and Dr. Frank A. Hutnicke (Carrie), both of Carmel, Ind. She also was blessed with four wonderful granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
Mrs. Hutnicke was a graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and had a long career as a nurse at St. Elizabeth in Danville. After her retirement, she moved to Indianapolis to be closer to her children. In retirement, she also volunteered at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Helen loved all of nature and was especially fond of her cats. She enjoyed reading, gardening, painting and, most of all, time with her family. She was a fun-loving person with a zest for life who brought out the best in others. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all.
A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 231 N. State St., Westville, with visitation one hour prior. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Danville.
