Audrey Miller, 88, of Ridge Farm, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman.
She was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Danville, the daughter of Oliver John Wallace and Lofleeta B. Thompson.
She was married Leslie Albert Miller from March 25, 1946, in Amberg, Wis., until his passing on Dec. 31, 1990.
She will be missed by her children, Joseph Miller of Ridge Farm, Thomas G. (Lori) Miller of Cayuga, Ind., Terry L. Miller of Manitowoc, Wis., Timothy P. (Sherry) Miller of Tilton and Dixie D. (Jack) Adams of Chrisman; her grandchildren, Donna (Dave) Blakeney of Danville, Sandra (Brian) Wishard of Marissa, Ill., Joshua Johnson of Georgetown, Lisa Johnson of Chrisman, Curt Adams of Chrisman, Keith (Tashia) Miller of Catlin and Mitch Lister of Miami, Okla.,; her 10 great grandchildren; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Dorothy Miller of Westville; her sisters-in-law, Daisy Moyle of Fallen, Nev., and Gloria Thompson of Manitowac, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Albert Miller; her brother, Jack Thompson; and her mother Lofleeta Thompson.
Audrey enjoyed playing bingo and solitaire, as well as singing. She was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packers fan. She also was known as the “Fire Alarm Lady.” Audrey cherished being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, with Pastor Kent Pitcher officiating. As were her wishes, Audrey will be cremated.
