Helen was born on April 28, 1925, in Danville, to Orville and Florence (Linck) Shelato. She attended Edison Grade School and Danville High School, graduating in 1943.

Helen was a homemaker and loved to work in her garden. She had three loving children, Patricia L. Paris, Robert R. Bireline and Susan K. Kinney, and loved being with her family and friends most of all. Saturday mornings at Helen and Bill’s house was the gathering place for coffee and doughnuts.

Helen married William G. Pentecost in 1974, and he survives. She is also survived by Patricia Bireline Paris (Mark), Susan Davis (Jerry) and Julie Lee (Charles Lee); her brother, Jack Shelato; and a very special daughter-in-law, Janie Bireline. She was previously married to Robert A. Bireline, and he passed in 1976. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Orville Shelato; and two of her children, Robert R. Bireline and Susan K. Kinney.

Helen traveled with Bill when he worked in Europe and South Carolina and enjoyed many winter vacations in Florida. Helen was a member of Central Christian Church and volunteered at the gift shop at Lakeview Hospital for many years.
