Margaret Nadine Berlin


DANVILLE — Margaret Nadine Berlin, 96, of Danville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.

Nadine was born on May 24, 1916, to Albert and Blanch (Smith) Traphagen in Danville.

Nadine is survived by sons, Kennthen H.L., Robert and Butch Dicken, Jerry (Becky) Leibrandt, Harold Allen, and George and Robert Clawson; daughters, Francis Wayne Hochken, Harriet (Robert) Johnson, Carol Huff and Jean Esterbrook; sister, Maxine Kelly; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephew, Brad (Dana) Wheeler; and special friend, Dorothy.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Huff; sister, Mildred Wheeler; and an infant son.

A lifelong resident of Danville, Nadine worked for both Green Thumb and the hospital as part of the housekeeping staff. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and later great-grandchildren, and will be missed by all those who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 9, in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, with a luncheon to follow. Memorials in Nadine’s name may be sent to the family. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, is in charge of arrangements.
