Shirley J. Davidson, 77, of Danville, passed away at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Danville Care Center.
She was born on June 4, 1936, the daughter of Ralph and Gladys (Burris) Hale, both deceased.
She was married to Claude J. Davidson on July 14, 1997, in Chrisman, until his passing.
Shirley was a graduate of Chrisman High School. She worked as bookkeeper for Bill’s Mower Shop for 30 years. She belonged to Chrisman Church of the Nazarene and served as an officer in the Salvation Army Service Extension for 10 years. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.
She is will be missed by her sons, David Chandler and Michael Chandler, both of Danville; her daughter, Linda (Andy) Yasitis, of Huntsville, Ala.; her grandchildren, Amber (Chad) Wiski, Casey Yasitis, Kristin (David) Luna and Joshua Chandler; her great-grandchildren, Adam Wiski, Brody Wiski and Kian Luna; and her aunt, Lois (Paul) Hilderbrand.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with brother Lloyd Simpson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm.
