---- — Rose Mary Clauson, 88, of Westville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014.

Rose was born July 31, 1925, the daughter of James and Esther “Albert” Emery Sr.

She married Merl Clauson Jr. on June 18, 1949. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1993.

Surviving are three daughters, Sherrill Bogart of Danville, Connie Lundell of Danville and Shirley Bell of Warsaw, Ind.; grandchildren, Todd (Erin) Gross of Danville, Nikki Bogart of Danville, Lisa (Brian) Platt of Taunton, Mass., Jason (Leslie Fitzsimmons) Lundell of Fall River, Mass., Tim (Erna Misik) Bell of Medford, Ore., Sherry (Loren) Dalrymple of Warsaw, Ind., and Julie (Romney) Large of Warsaw, Ind.; great-grandchildren, Parker T., Tyler, Katelyn, Angela, Tacoma, Maureen, Cody, Shaina, Parkur, Hannah, Shelby, Abby, Roman and Jane; two sisters, Shirley Levickey and Patricia Black. She also is survived by three very special nephews Beaver, Patrick, and Darrick Black.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three loving sons-in-law, Raymond Bogart, Richard Lundell and Terry Bell; two sisters, Lucy Palmer and Jane Krasovich; and five brothers, James Emery Jr., Robert Emery, Gilbert Emery, Arnold Emery and William Emery.

Rose was a dedicated mother and grandmother and supported all of her family. She loved her twice a year trips to Warsaw, Ind., where she was able to help with the children’s dance recitals and at Christmas. Rose could always be found on the go! If it was going to yard sales or just going with someone somewhere.

Rose and Merl loved square dancing, they were teachers and members of multiple clubs, Frontier Twirlers, Twirling Squares and Hooten Owls. Rose was a lifelong resident of Westville and a faithful member of Community Church of God.

A celebration of life memorial service for Rose will begin at 6 p.m. Monday Feb. 3, at Community Church of God, 535 S. Bowman Ave., Danville, Pastor Corey Stocksdale officiating. Visitation will be 5-6 p.m. prior to the service.

Memorials can be made in Rose’s name to Community Church of God Missions. The family has entrusted Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center A Life Celebration Home of Danville, with arrangements.
