Levivian Hocketta, 81, of Danville, transitioned from earth to glory at 12:04 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.
Levivian was born to John and Lena Bell Farr on Nov. 9, 1931 in Sebree, Ky.
She loved the Lord and was member of Greater Christ Apostolic Church. Levivian enjoyed attending church, reading her Bible, researching and discussing family history and traveling.
Levivian leaves to cherish her loving memory two sons, Sherman Hocketta and Bishop James (Anne) Farr Sr., both of Danville; a sister, Betty Hughes of Indianapolis; one living uncle, Superintendent Elder John Henry (Rosemary) Bell Jr. of Kansas City, Kan.; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Levivian was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Charles Hocketta; two sons and two brothers.
A celebration of life will commence at noon Thursday, Aug. 22, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating: Elder Frederick Ivan Leek. Interment: Spring Hill Cemetery. A public viewing will commence from 1-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams St., Danville.
