Gary Grant Rodgers, 70, of Danville, passed away at 5:38 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
He was born June 22, 1942, in Danville, a son of Everett Grant and Ruby Ethel Stinson Rodgers.
Gary is survived by two brothers, Randall (Fran) Rodgers of Tilton and Larry (Elizabeth) Rodgers of Ashland City, Tenn. He is also survived by nieces, Stephany (Scott) Hove and Stacy (Kelly) Clough, both of Tuscola, Tina Williams of Loma Linda, Calif.; and nephews, Jason Rodgers of Danville, Jay (Dena) Rodgers of Chicago and David (Cassie) Rodgers of Henning. He is also survived by numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Crystal.
Gary attended Fairchild and Oaklawn grade schools in Danville and graduated from Danville High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Gary was employed for years at Felpro Gasket Products and retired from Central States Distributing of Danville. Gary was a quiet, unselfish and unassuming man, well-liked by his co-workers.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Danville National Cemetery, Danville. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.
