She married Joe Baird shortly before he was sent out to Germany during World War II, and they had two children, Carol and Greg. Joe preceded her in death on March 27, 1997.

She is survived by one son, Greg (Cathy) Baird of Henning; eight sisters, Lorraine McBeath, Vicky Kelley and Peg (Bob) Clem, all of Hoopeston, Sally Goodwin of Phoenix, Ariz., Glela Dalrymple of San Bernardino, Calif., Wanda (Carl) Thompson of Paxton, Darlene Davis and Karen (Don) Meador of Norfolk, Va.; one brother, Steve (Sharon) Kelley of Jaydon, Mo.; three grandsons, Mike Boose, Greg Baird Jr. and Bill Baird; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Boose, her parents, husband, two sisters, five brothers and several nieces and nephews.

June moved back to Rossville several years ago after losing her husband.
