GEORGETOWN — Donald Alexander Beauvois Sr., 76, of Georgetown, passed away at 10:01 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his home.

Per his wishes, Donald will be cremated and his ashes will be interred next to his son Steven Beauvois in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Donald was born on April 7, 1936, to Alexandre and Nellie (Nagrodski) Beauvois at their home in Georgetown.

He attended Westville grade schools, and then graduated from Georgetown High School. After high school he joined the Army where he spent four years. He then went to work for C&EI as a rail train conductor and continued on to CSX, where he retired after 50 years of service.

Donald married Leona Mae Woodard on Oct. 7, 1961, in Catlin. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Donald Beauvois Jr. (Kay) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a granddaughter, Rachel; two brothers; two sisters; and nieces and nephews.

The immediate family will have a private committal service at a later date. The family requests any memorials or donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetic Association.
