Jacqueline Kay Neuman, 67, of Danville, passed away at her home with her family by her side at 10:28 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014.
Jackie was born the eldest daughter of John and Fern (Pichon) Grant on Sept. 13, 1946, in Danville.
She married George Neuman on June 21, 1967. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2006.
Surviving Jackie is one daughter, Nicole (Ryan Miller) Neuman; three brothers, John (Karen) Grant of Williamsport, Ind., Paul (Chris) Grant of Danville, and Marty (Tammi Jo) Grant of Danville; four sisters, Cecel (Ron) Williams of Avon, Ind., Claudia Grant of Danville, Kerry (John) Blankenbeckler of Danville, and Billie Snoddy of Covington, Ind. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Presley.
Jackie enjoyed being outside gardening and spending time with family. To Jackie, it was like Christmas year round; she loved to give.
A celebration of Jackie’s life will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home. Officiating will be the Rev. James Blue. A visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in Jackie’s name to Danville Presence Cancer Center.
