A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. Military honors will be by American Legion Post 210.
Robert was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Watseka to Vernon and Wanda (Woods) Legg.
He attended grade school and high school in Brooke, Ind., and later took college courses while stationed in Camp Pendelton, Calif. Throughout the years, Bob worked on computers, at Ethan Allan’s Furniture, Intec Car Company, as a cook and, most recently, at Burger King.
Bob loved The Salvation Army, especially its Toys for Tots fundraiser, and you could find him very often out fishing. He also enjoyed reading magazines, and watching chick flicks.
Bob served during WWII in the Marine Corps as a cook; he was very proud of his service.
Bob married Carmen Legg, and the two had three children together before her passing. He later married Sena King on May 12, 2002, in Watseka. She survives.
Also surviving are his three children, Sharon (Tim) Ladd, Shawn Legg and Rebecca Delzer; four stepchildren, John, Bryan, Roger and Venetta Brys; eight grandchildren, Carmen, Rodney, Tim, Mark, Jonathan, Kiera, Jackson and Rebecca; and a brother, David Legg. He also leaves behind many, many friends.
Jesus loved all fishermen and Bob was a fisher of men. He was well loved by all who knew him. A loving Dad, Papa, husband and brother-in-law.
