COVINGTON, Ind. —
Clyde Vernon Hopper, 49, of Covington, died at 5:05 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Kindred Hospital, Indianapolis, where he was a patient two months.
He was born July 11, 1963, at Danville, Ill., the son of Vernon Edward and June Evelyn (Redenbaugh) Hopper.
Clyde is survived by his parents and a brother, James W. Breeden Jr., all of Covington; a sister; Christy Lynn (Michael) Cruse of Bloomingdale; a special friend; Kelly White; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
A sister, Jamie Morris; a brother, Martin Hopper; uncle, Dean Redenbaugh; and his grandparents preceded him in death.
His memberships included First Assembly of God and its Sonshine Class. He enjoyed being with his family and music, especially Cruse Brothers, Highway 341 Band and his dad playing for him. He appreciated going to church camp, Indiana Beach and hayrides.
He enjoyed his caregivers and all they did for him: John Sprinkle, Geoff Miley, Shannon Miley and Sarah Wilson.
Visitation will be noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Shelby Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Fairchild and Michael Cruse will officiate, and burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
