In the past, he had also helped teach alignment at Danville Area Community College. He also liked to do bodywork at Danny’s shop, Oakes Collision & Repair, where they spent a lot of time together.

In his spare time, Timmy enjoyed going fishing before his arthritis prevented him from doing so. He also liked to do woodwork, which he learned from his brother, Danny, and was an avid Mark Martin/NASCAR fan. Above all, Timmy cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Timmy was a casual person and the family requests that people dress in casual attire to honor him.
