Mary Coretta Garrison-Bolin, 62, of Hoopeston, passed away at 11:55 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013, at her home in Hoopeston.
She was born March 14, 1951, the daughter of John Homer and Mary Jane (Calvert) Garrison.
She is survived by daughters, Jamie (Mike) Petkus of Danville and Amie (Kevin) Lacey of Westville; one son, Ephriam (Melissa) Bolin of Danville; one sister, Bertha Obenland of Potomac; five brothers, Homer (Janette) Garrison of Danville, Donald Garrison of Rossville, James (Janis) Garrison of Bismarck, Ronald (Donna) Garrison of Veedersburg, Ind., and John (Christy) Garrison of Hoopeston; seven grandchildren, Shayla, Maycee, Ji’Cee, Landen, Kaleb, Elijah and Easton; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary is also survived by her longtime friend, Wayne Kaufman of Rankin; and his daughter, Sherry Kaufman of Penfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Betty Wells; two brothers, Tom and Red Garrison; and one great-nephew, Aerian Wells.
Mary was a cook at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul. She later worked at the Coffee Cup in Hoopeston and cleaned many houses. She loved cleaning, doing yard work and working for Molly Culbert. Mary also enjoyed doing ceramics and socializing with her friends and family.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, at Anderson Funeral Home, Hoopeston, with Pastor Janet Longtin officiating. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
