Richard L. Moody Jr.

Richard L. Moody Jr., 55, of Westville passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Provena USMC.

Richard was born June 27, 1954, in Danville, son of Richard and Barbara Sales Moody Sr. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Davis, and seven children, Seth, Joe, Vanessa, Angela, Anieka, Aniesha, and Tonya; a sister, Twila Weathers; grandchildren, Marlon, Lamar, Marissa, Zachary, Kendra, Janea, Danatas, Caleb, Darius, Ashlee, Jayda, Corrina, Dudley, Bree, Alivia, Aryanna, Tavion, Devin, Lex, Brandon and Anja; and great-grandchildren, Davion, Jaonna and Addison. His father and two sons, Joshua Moody and Richard “Richie” Moody III, preceded him in death.

Richard was a welder by trade and worked several years at Harrison Steel and many years at Freight Car. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and carpentry work, ceramics, cars and cruising; but above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
