Susan Wozniak
Susan Wozniak, 55, of Covington, Ind., and formerly of Cayuga, Ind., passed away at 3:30 a.m. EST Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at her residence in Covington.
She was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Valparaiso, Ind., the daughter of the late Everett Edward and Dorothy G. Striker Wilson.
Survivors: one daughter, Donna Chapman of LaPorte, Ind.; one son, Clarence (Cathleen) Wozniak of Covington; six grandchildren; four sisters, Joyce (David) Richardson of Rantoul, Ill., Chris (James) Wheatfill of Cayuga, Sally (David) Brown of Danville and Gladys Norman of Michigan City, Ind.; and three brothers, Charles (Betty) Wilson of LaPorte, Ind., John (Jane) Wilson of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and Edward (Teresa) Wilson of Gibson City, Ill. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Susan was a 1976 graduate of Rogers High School in Michigan City, Ind. She was a former CNA and later worked in the dietary department at Ben Hur Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, Ind. Susan enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles and playing dice and cards.
There will be no services. Per her request, cremation was accorded with burial of cremains to be held at a later date at Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton, Ind. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Ind., in charge of arrangements. Condolences:www.deverterfuneralhome.com.
