Jon W. Bickers

Jon W. Bickers, 54, of Hoopeston, formerly of Milford, died at 12:08 a.m. Oct. 10, 2008, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

He was born May 11, 1954, in Champaign, a son of Kenneth and Dorothy Bickers. He worked for Howard Industries for 25 years and was an avid Packers fan.

He is survived by: a daughter, Amy (Eric) Hankey, of Woodland; a step-daughter, April (Duane) Schmedeke of Springfield; two sisters, Mary (Rick) Wood of Hoopeston and Susan (Carl) Youngblood of Georgetown; three brothers, Gary (Margaret) Bickers, of Mt. Ayer, Iowa, Robert (Susan) Bickers, of Chula Vista, Calif., and David (Debbie) Bickers of Milford and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, the Rev. Neil Larimore officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.14, at the funeral home. Cremation rites to be accorded.
