Zellner D. Brown IV
Zellner D. Brown IV, 23, of Danville, passed this life at 2:01 a.m. Sunday, July 20, 2008. He was born Oct. 22, 1984, in Danville. The proud parents are Zellner Brown III and Donetta L. Tetter.
Lil Red attended Laraway Elementary School and Gompers High School in Joliet. Zellner leaves to cherish his memories his father, Zellner D. (Anjanette) Brown III of Avon, Ind.; and mother, Donetta L. (Javon Barrett) Tetter of Danville; four daughters, Anjanae and Zemaree Brown and Mchenzie Williams, all of Joliet; a son, Darionatae Brown of Joliet; two brothers, Demaree Tetter of Danville and Zarius Brown of Memphis Tenn.; two sisters, Dynasty Brown of Avon, Ind., and Markea Tetter of Danville; maternal grandparents, Donald and Juanita Tetter of Danville; maternal great-grandmother Willa Butler of Chicago; paternal grandparents, Zellner D. and Shirley Brown Jr. of Danville; great-grandmother, Martha Moore; godfather, Sherman Hocketta; godmother, Tammy Maze; a special friend and mother of his children, Darnishia Jackson; and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Lil Red was a very comical person. He enjoyed music, sports, writing poems, playing cards, chess, cutting hair and spending time with his children, but most of all he enjoyed bringing laughter to his friends and family. He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of New Beginnings Ministries.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, July 26, 2008, at New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman Ave. Visitation: 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Viewing will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, July 25 at Leek & Sons Funeral Home, 304 E. Williams. Officiating: Rev. Susan C. Carter. Interment will be at Spring Hill Cemetery.
