ELIZABETH ‘BETTY’ BALENT
WESTVILLE —
Elizabeth “Betty” Balent, 79, of Westville, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at the Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman.
Ms. Balent was born on Oct. 2, 1927, in Westville, the daughter of John and Anna (Holman) Balent. Both her parents precede her in death.
Betty is survived by her sister, Anna Miglin of Westville; her two nephews, Harold (Karen) Balent of Tennessee and Jim (Denise) Miglin of Rockford; and her niece, Delores (George) Lawery of Los Angeles. Betty was also a great-aunt too, Matthew Miglin, Blake Miglin, Jeff Miglin and Jennifer Winka. Her two brothers, John and George Balent, precede her in death.
Throughout her life, Betty resided in Westville and was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Westville.
A Catholic Mass celebration for Betty Balent will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville. Father John Paninski will conduct the funeral service. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held one hour (9-10 a.m.) Saturday at Sunset South’s Westville Chapel.
