Keith D. Neaderhiser
Keith D. Neaderhiser, 64, beloved husband of Linda, loving father of John, his daughter-in-law Kirsten, and grandfather of their children, Lucas, Matthew and Kate, died on April 30, 2008, in Arlington Heights. Keith and Linda made their home in Buffalo Grove.
Keith was born in Concordia, Kan., to Warren K. Neaderhiser and Margaret R. Trott Neaderhiser on March 5, 1944. Keith was a graduate of Solomon High School and he received a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Illinois. He served his country as a captain in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1971. After his military service, he was a successful investment banker, small business owner and guitar player.
His family enjoyed his unconditional love, the benefits of his intellect, and the laughter generated by his quick wit. He exemplified courage and dignity in his struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and cancer.
He is also survived by his sisters and their families: Coleen and Jerry Seim of Salina, Kan., Diane Matteson of Manhattan, Kan., Nancy and Doug Michaelis of Salina, Kan., Darlene and Brad Boyer of Peyton, Colo.; his sister-in-law, Carole Colbert of Springfield; and nine nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services were held in Salina, Kan. Memorials may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494.
