Bernita Jean Steinbeck Mac Arthur passed away May 9, 2008, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 7, 1912, to the late Fred and Lena Steinbeck of Preston, Iowa. She had two brothers: Rolland (Ruth) Steinbeck of Clinton, Iowa, and Wayne Steinbeck of Los Angeles, Calif. Both are deceased.
Bernita and Walter L. (Jack) Mac Arthur were married in Clinton, Iowa, and had two children: Sharon (Bill) Black of Danville and Bruce D. (Pam) Mac Arthur of Clinton, Iowa; four grandchildren: Debbie (Scott) Alexander of Greenville, N.C., Douglas B. (Dee Dee) Black of Normal, Andrea Mac Arthur Erickson (Mark) of St. Charles, Mo., and Whitney Mac Arthur Laurion (Dale) of Clinton, Iowa, and nine great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date in Preston, Iowa. Memorials may be sent to CRIS Senior Services or the charity of the donor’s choice. Guest register: www.papemortuary.com.
