Wanda June Eastman

Wanda June Eastman, 78, of Danville, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2008, at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, IL 61832 with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Visitation: one hour prior to services; Burial: Atherton Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to Central Park Church of Christ, 1735 S. Washington, Danville, IL 61832.

Wanda was born March 2, 1930, in Danville, to Henry and Lily Opal Robinson Harris. She attended Danville High School and later went to Danville Beauty School where she received her cosmetology license. Wanda loved sewing, reading and knitting.

Wanda married Roy Pershing Eastman on Aug. 7, 1948, in Danville. He preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1993. Survivors include one sister: Marian L. Collins of Danville; one brother: Charles V. (Eula) Harris of Las Lunas, N.M. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son Randall Roy Eastman.
