DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Property damage in the 1100 block of James Place.


A man arrested for possession of cannabis and criminal trespassing on state property was arrested in the 900 block of Belton Avenue.

Deceptive practice reported in the 1600 block of Cleveland Street.

Financial identity theft in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.

A man arrested for domestic battery in the 1200 block of Saratoga Drive.

A woman arrested for battery in the 900 block of Hubbard Lane.

Retail theft at Kmart, 2721 N. Vermilion St.

A woman arrested for fleeing/eluding police in the 100 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Deceptive practice and theft reported in the 500 block of West Fairchild Street.

Vermilion County


Property damage and trespassing in the first block of Dale Avenue.

Identity theft in the 300 block of Spelter.


Domestic battery in the 6900 block of Prairie Road, Jamaica.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Wednesday, 12:21 p.m. At Fairchild and Franklin streets involving Shirley Harris, 42, of the 1000 block of Cleveland Street, and Asim Osaze, 42, of Danville. Harris was cited for improper backing.

Wednesday, 2:16 p.m. At Center and Gilbert streets involving Conner Todd, 16, of the 13600 block of Catlin-Tilton Road, and Dennis Dillion, 44, of the 100 block of South Crawford Street. Todd was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident while Dillion was cited for driving without insurance and with an expired sticker.

Wednesday, 7:14 p.m. In the 100 block of South Gilbert Street, involving Marissa Owen, 54, of the 600 block of Daisy Lane, and Shaylee Anderson, 18, of Danville. Owen was cited for failure to yield and driving without insurance.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Wednesday, 9:36-9:45 a.m. A medical call in the 1300 block of Cleveland Street.

Wednesday, 11:05-11:17 a.m. A medical call in the 1500 block of Walnut Street.

Thursday, 5:25-5:40 a.m. A medical call in the700 block of Griffin Street.
