Patsy D. Sevener

OAKWOOD — Patsy D. Sevener, 74, of Oakwood and Saint Petersburg, Fla., passed away at 10:42 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the home of her daughter.

Patsy was born Sept. 9, 1939, in Danville, the daughter of George William and Anna Bannon Barnard.

She married Walter Reid Jr. on July 16, 1955, in Danville. They have since then been divorced. She married Austin Sevener on March 18, 1991, in Knoxville, Tenn. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tracie (Jerry) Cline of Oakwood and Annette (Steve) Valangeon of Ridge Farm; nine grandchildren, Jamie Cline of Sevierville, Teen., Mark Cline of Oakwood, Stephanie O’Banion of Tilton, William Cline of Meridian, Miss., Christopher Cline of Fithian, Bradley Reid of San Diego, Calif., Amanda Hall of Hoopeston and Justin Hall and Jessica Hall of Georgetown; 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Randle of Danville and Karen Klinger of Otterbein, Ind.; one brother, Kenneth Barnard of Bismarck; and five step-children. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; a daughter, Carolee Reid; and two grandsons, Derek Kyger and Joshua Reid.

Patsy attended Danville public schools, then worked for General Electric and General Motors companies. She loved to travel and lived in Chile and Taiwan for a time before settling back in the United States. Patsy was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.

Per Patsy’s wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service and burial of cremains will be at a later date. Robison Chapel, Catlin, is handling the arrangements. Online condolences at www.robisonchapel.com.
