Incidents reported to police include:

Danville

Wednesday:

Attempted residential burglary in the 100 block of West Davis.

Thursday:

Theft at Main and Vermilion streets.

Criminal damage to property in the 1900 block of North Gilbert.

Battery in the 900 block of Chandler.

Friday:

Theft in the 300 block of North Alexander.

Domestic battery in the 1100 block of North Collett.

Theft and assault in the 900 block of North Vermilion; a man was arrested.

Reckless discharge of a gun in Fair Oaks.

Possession of cannabis and disorderly conduct at Franklin and Fairchild streets; a man was given a notice to appear.

Theft in the 1000 block of West Williams.

Domestic battery at Woodbury and Sheridan streets; a man was arrested.

Theft in the 500 block of North Gilbert Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 1300 block of West Williams Street.

Burglary in the 1300 block of West Williams Street.

Burglary at Kevin & Co., 3607 N. Vermilion St.

Saturday:

Shots fired in the 2600 block of Cannon.

Domestic battery in the 900 block of East Voorhees.

Battery in Fair Oaks.

Aggravated battery in the 400 block of North Oak Street.

Vermilion County

Thursday:

Burglary in the first block of Vance Lane, Danville.

Friday:

Theft at Casey’s, 521 S. Main, Rankin.

Criminal damage at U.S. Route 150 and 1700 North, Oakwood.

Possible theft and harassment at Casey’s, 102 N. Paris, Catlin.

Burglary to Foster’s Closet, 924 Oakwood Ave., Danville.

  • Police investigate shooting report

    DANVILLE — City police investigated reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Moore Street about 6:30 p.m.

    Preliminary reports had as many as three people with gunshot wounds. Ambulances were called to assist two of the people with wounds to the leg and one with a chest wound.

    The investigation continued Friday evening.
