Class of ’52 to host 60th

DANVILLE — The Danville High School Class of 1952 will have its 60th class reunion Oct. 12 and 13 at the Danville Boat Club. Dinner on Oct. 13 will be $35 per individual.

Cookbook sales help poor

St. Vincent DePaul Society is selling cookbooks for $10 each. Proceeds help those who are poor with utilities, medication and lodging. Money is used only in Danville and Vermilion County.

To purchase a book, call Holy Family Church at 431-5100 or Patty Smith at 260-2647.

Relay team serves dinner

Team Paparazzi is hosting a spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the American Legion Post 210, Prospect Place and Jackson Street.

The public dinner is Team Paparazzi’s fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Vermilion County.

For a $5 donation per person, meal includes salad, spaghetti, bread and dessert. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Boosters plan fall show

The Danville High School Choral Music Boosters will present the show choirs Delegation and the Contemporaires in a non-competitive fall show at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at the high school. Auditorium doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets: $5 at the door for adults and $3 for senior citizens and students.

There will be an open house prior to the show with the following vendors attending: Tastefully Simple, Scentsy, Thirty-One, Pampered Chef, Park Lane and more. Vendors will be open from 3:30-7 p.m. and will donate a portion of their sales back to the show choirs to help fund a competition trip to Hollywood, Calif.

Benefit to help John

A fundraiser for Eddie John will be from 1-8 p.m. Oct. 14 at Sarge’s Tavern, 409 E. Main St.
