---- — DANVILLE – A man received minor injuries after trying to elude law enforcement in a chase on both sides of the state line.
City police responded to a report of a violation of an order of protection around 4 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Robinson Street. The suspect attempted to flee city police, who then gave chase.
The pursuit emerged out Danville and continued on Henning Road and County Road 2750N before going south on Chicago Avenue in Bismark before entering Indiana
Danville Director of Public Safety Larry Thomason said it continued in Warren County, Ind., where the suspect’s vehicle left the roadway west of Indiana 63 and went into a cornfield and wrecked.
Deputies with Vermilion County and Warren County, Ind., participated in the pursuit. Stop sticks were deployed as part of the chase, Thomason said.
Thomason, who did not release the name of the suspect, said the man was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Ind., with minor injuries following the crash.
