DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Vehicle burglary at the Danville Family YMCA, 1111 N. Vermilion St.

Burglary at the First United Pentecostal Church, 1204 W. Williams St.


A man arrested for failure to register as a sex offender in the 900 block of North Hazel Street.

A man arrested for domestic battery in the 600 block of East South Street.

A man arrested for retail theft in the 1100 block of Martin Street.

Retail theft in the 3300 block of North Vermilion Street.

Disorderly conduct in the 1200 block of Polk Street.


Attempted burglary in the 1000 block of Grove Street.

A man arrested for obstructing justice and possession of cannabis in the 900 block of Belton Avenue.

A man arrested for possession of methamphetamines, possession of a stolen firearm, no firearm owner’s identification, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street.

Domestic battery in the 500 block of South Bowman Avenue.

Garage burglary in the 1400 block of Perrysville Road.

Property damage and theft in the 200 block of North Vermilion Street, Potomac.


Domestic dispute in the 100 block of McCarty Street, Muncie.

Disorderly conduct in the 500 block of East Third Street.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Monday, 3:48 p.m. — At Washington and Van Buren streets involving Dawn Frazier, 48, of the first block of Henderson Street, and Orlando Carter, 56, of Danville. Fraziere was cited for disobeying a stop sign, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended/revoked driver’s license.

Tuesday, 10:14 a.m. — At East Main Street and Brewer Road involving Nicholas VanVickle, 18, of Covington, Ind., and Roy Sebastian, 39, of Ontario, Canada. VanVickle was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Tuesday, 6:59-7:10 a.m. — A medical call in the first block of Stroup Street.

Tuesday, 10:26-10:50 a.m. — A cooking fire at 235 S. Virginia Ave.

Tuesday, 11:37-11:49 a.m. — A power line down at 105 S. Buchanan St.

Tuesday, 5:10-5:27 p.m. — A cooking fire at 10 Carriage Lane.

Tuesday, 6:54-7:19 p.m. — A gas leak at 204 E. Woodlawn Ave.

Tuesday, 9:04-9:13 p.m. — A medical call in the 100 block of East Seminary Street.

Tuesday, 9:09-9:24 p.m. — A medical call in the 2500 block of Rue Bienville.
