- Approving Main Street Phase III resolutions to appropriate $76,000 in motor fuel tax funds for reimbursement of construction costs relating to the project from National Avenue to Crestview Avenue; and an agreement with the Illinois Department of Transportation for the project.
The city is responsible for certain maintenance items within the state right-of-way at the conclusion of the project.
Partial city costs, totaling $76,360, would be for traffic signals at the VA and Iowa Street, Danville Area Community College and Indiana Avenue and at Oregon Street; highway signal interconnect; sidewalks; and highway lighting.
The final Main Street section runs from National Avenue, just west of the Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System entrance, to Lick Creek, near Kansas Avenue, east of Meade Park.
Construction is expected to start as early as February and be completed in 2013, possibly with any minor work to be finished in 2014.
- Granting the property at 811 E. Fairchild St. for utility service as part of the Fairchild Street subway improvement.
- Authorizing the Danville Public Building Commission to update the water lines, ceiling and light fixtures at the public safety building at a cost not to exceed $136,187.
