DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:

Danville

Sunday:

Theft in the 400 block of Brunswick Street.

Domestic battery in the 500 block of North Harmon Street.

Monday:

A man arrested for domestic battery in the 500 block of Chandler Street.

Domestic violence in the 800 block of North Robinson Street.

Vehicle burglary in the first block of Lake Shore Drive.

Theft in the 400 block of North Vermilion Street.

Trespassing in the 400 block of North Vermilion Street.

Theft reported in the 2800 block of North Vermilion Street.

Disorderly conduct at Village Mall, 2917 N. Vermilion St.

Property damage in the 700 block of North Logan Avenue.

Battery and robbery in the 900 block of North Vermilion Street.

Tuesday:

A man arrested for obstructing justice at East Fairchild and Moore streets.

Vermilion County

Monday:

Counterfeit $100 bills reported in the 1700 block of North Main Street, Georgetown.

Theft in the 200 block of Moore Street, Westville.

A man arrested for buying pseudoephedrine without a prescription in the 23600 block of Newtown Road, Oakwood.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Monday, 7:23 a.m. — At Illinois Route 1 and Southgate Drive, Tilton, involving Jessie Long, 25, of Westville, and Sarah Hassaszadeh, 32, of Danville. Long was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident.

Monday, 3:14 p.m. — At 38 N. Vermilion St. involving Riley Wallen, 20, of the 900 block of East Elm Street, and Vicki Laban, 39, of Catlin. Wallen was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Monday, 5:15 p.m. — At North Gilbert and Harrison streets involving Jenny Cornwell, 27, of Georgetown; Phillip Cox, 33, of Fairmount; and James Bolton, 63, of Danville. Cornwell was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Monday, 9:23-9:36 a.m. — A private alarm at Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, 1900 E. Main St.

Monday, 10-10:24 a.m. — A car smoking following an accident at Gilbert and Main streets.

  • Police investigate shooting report

    DANVILLE — City police investigated reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Moore Street about 6:30 p.m.

    Preliminary reports had as many as three people with gunshot wounds. Ambulances were called to assist two of the people with wounds to the leg and one with a chest wound.

    The investigation continued Friday evening.
