Police search for robber

---- — DANVILLE — Police continue to search for the suspect in an early morning robbery at a Danville store.

Officers were called to Walgreens, near the intersection of North Gilbert and West Fairchild streets, just after 1 a.m. Tuesday to a report of a robbery.

Sgt. Joshua Campbell indicated the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. After receiving an unknown amount of money, the man fled on foot from the store, heading westbound.

No shots were fired during the robbery and the employee was not injured in the incident.

According to Campbell, the suspect is described as standing 5 feet 8 inches tall with a medium build. No other description details were available.
