DANVILLE — Continuing the celebration of the Vermilion County Museum Society’s 50th Anniversary, the museum, 116 N. Gilbert St., will host a special quilt luncheon at noon July 23.
Victorena Stanis, accomplished quilter and dedicated community volunteer, will be honored at this luncheon for her efforts in establishing the local Midwest Heritage Quilt Show.
Deborah Fell, renowned art quilter, will present “New Kid on the Block,” a program about the current trends in art quilts.
The cost of the boxed luncheon, catered by Charlotte’s, is $10. Due to limited seating, paid reservations are required by July 18.
After the luncheon, Fell will lead an afternoon workshop at Threads of Time Creative Sewing & Retreat Center. For more information on the workshop, call Threads at 431-9202.
