Theft in the 1400 block of McKinley Street.

Theft at Big Lots, 20 N. Vermilion St.


A man arrested for theft at Berry’s Garden Center, 3714 N. Vermilion St.

A man arrested for domestic battery at Jackson and Newell streets.

Vehicle burglary at Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.

Burglary in the 1300 block of East Williams Street.

Retail theft at Dollar General, 100 N. Griffin St.

A man arrested for disorderly conduct in the first block of East North Street.

Property damage at the American Inn, 1824 E. Main St.

Property damage and attempted burglary at Charlotte’s, 407 Anne St.

Burglary in the 1000 block of West Clay Street.

Burglary in the 1100 block of Glenwood Drive.

Disorderly conduct in the 1100 block of Lorraine Street.

Property damage in the first block of East Main Street.

Burglary and domestic battery in the 300 block of North Alexander Street.

Vermilion County


Property damage along County Road 2240N, Bismarck.


A woman arrested for telephone harassment at McDonald’s, Oakwood.

Theft in the 14000 block of Clingan Lane, Westville.

Property damage in the 300 block of Orchard Street, Catlin.

Domestic battery in the 300 block of Smith Street, Westville.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Monday, 2:09 p.m. — In the 2300 block of Denmark Road involving Caleb Stephenson, 23, of Alvin, and Makenzie Baker, 20, of Oakwood. Stephenson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Tuesday, 2:15 p.m.  — In the 1700 block of Georgetown Road, Tilton, involving Dustin Thompson, 17, of Westville, and Sydnee Black, 23, of Georgetown. Thompson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Both drivers were taken to Presence United Samaritans Medical Center for treatment.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Tuesday, 8:05-8:31 a.m. — An alarm activation at the Village Mall, 2917 N. Vermilion St.

Tuesday, 12:41-12:49 p.m. — A medical call in the 1000 block of Koehn Drive.

Tuesday, 5:11-5:15 p.m. — An alarm activation at 1010 E. Fairchild St.

Tuesday, 6:18-6:30 p.m. — A medical call in the 900 block of Hubbard Lane.

Tuesday, 8:29-8:52 p.m. — Power lines arcing at Elmwood Avenue and Clements Street.

Wednesday, 4:59-5:08 a.m. — A medical call in the 900 block of Hubbard Lane.
