DANVILLE — Here’s a look at recent law enforcement calls:



Aggravated battery in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.


Property damage in the 600 block of East English Street.

Property damage in the 1000 block of Fera Street.


Stolen firearm in the 900 block of Maple Street.

Theft at Mobil Super Pantry, 1212 N. Bowman Ave.

Domestic battery in the 200 block of North Walnut Street.

Property damage in the 100 block of South Gilbert Street.

A woman arrested for deceptive practice in the 3600 block of North Vermilion Street.

Theft in the 1100 block of Franklin Street.


A man arrested for criminal trespassing in the 900 block of Campbell Lane.

Vermilion County


Property damage in the 200 block of East South Main Street, Oakwood.


Trespassing in the 1400 block of Meitzler Street, Tilton.


A man arrested for financial exploitation of a disabled person in the 100 block of South Gutherie Street, Rankin.

Theft in the 700 block of South State Street, Westville.

Accidents involving tickets or injuries include:

Friday, 3:26 p.m. — At North Gilbert Street and Roselawn Avenue involving Robert Estock, 57, of the 1200 block of North Gilbert Street. He was cited for improper lane usage.

Sunday, 11:20 a.m. — In the 1100 block of North Bowman Avenue involving Nicole Johnson, 21, of Westville; Dana Pursley, 41, of Danville; and Renee Hizer, 44, of Danville. Johnson was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance.

Sunday, 3:08 p.m. — At Williams and Hazel streets involving Jean Abelard, 25, of Schaumburg, and Louis Morris, 73, of Danville. Abelard was cited for failure to yield.

Firefighters responded to the following calls:

Monday, 9:43-9:56 a.m. — A medical call in the 1200 block of East Williams Street.

Monday, 11:50 a.m.-12:02 p.m. —A natural gas leak reported at the Robert Jones Municipal Building, 17 W. Main St.

Monday, 12:59-1:20 p.m. — An electrical outlet arcing at 1225 Koehn Drive.

Monday, 8:45-9:05 p.m. — A gas odor at 903 N. Logan Ave.

Monday, 9:41-9:52 p.m. — An illegal burning at 1330 W. Williams St.

Tuesday, 12:08-2:20 a.m. — A house fire at 519 Sherman St.
