Attempted burglary in the 1200 block of Garden Drive.

Disorderly conduct in the 1200 block of Perrysville Road.


Sexual abuse reported at Williams and Section streets.

Burglary in the 1600 block of North Gilbert Street.

Burglary in the 1300 block of West Williams Street.

Assault at Robinson and Madison streets.

A man arrested for criminal trespassing in the 900 block of Lewis Lane.

A man arrested for domestic battery at the Vermilion County Courthouse, 7 N. Vermilion St.

Theft of medication in the first block of Lenover Avenue.


A woman arrested for battery in the 1000 block of Campbell Lane.

Domestic battery in the first block of Tillman Street.

Domestic dispute along County Road 1735E.

Burglary along County Road 600N, Georgetown.

Battery at Josephine’s, Georgetown.

Theft in the 1700 block of Batestown Road.

Wednesday, 10:56-11:21 a.m. Burned food on a stove at 516 Andeerson St.

Wednesday, 12:05-12:33 p.m. Garage fire smoldering at 14 Illinois St.

Wednesday, 2:48-3:01 p.m. A car fire at 501 S. Gilbert St.

Wednesday, 3:51-4:01 p.m. A medical call in the 400 block of Florida Avenue.

Wednesday, 5:19-5:35 p.m. A medical call in the 1500 block of Valleyview.

Wednesday, 6-6:12 p.m. An illegal burning at 622 Chandler St.

Wednesday, 6:44-6:57 p.m. A medical call in the 500 block of West Woodbury Street.

Wednesday, 7:41-7:52 p.m. A medical call in the 800 block of East South Street.

Wednesday, 7:54-8 p.m. A private alarm at 615 Harmon St.

Wednesday, 10:53-11:14 p.m. A smoke odor reported at 377 Lynch Drive.

Thursday, 12:27-12:35 a.m. A medical call in the 300 block of Washington Street.

Thursday, 12:47-12:59 a.m. A medical call in the 1000 block of Campbell Lane.

  • Police investigate shooting report

    DANVILLE — City police investigated reports of a shooting in the 1000 block of Moore Street about 6:30 p.m.

    Preliminary reports had as many as three people with gunshot wounds. Ambulances were called to assist two of the people with wounds to the leg and one with a chest wound.

    The investigation continued Friday evening.
