The oath of office will be administered to two newly elected trustees of the Danville Area Community College Board.
Incumbent Dr. Ron Serfoss and newcomer Greg Wolfe will be seated on the board of trustees during a special meeting Tuesday morning.
Serfoss will return to his post for six more years, while Wolfe will fill a six-year vacancy left by retired judge John O’Rourke, who did not seek re-election.
By law, board members have until Tuesday to organize and accept election canvass results, prompting the need for the special meeting.
David Harby, vice chair of the board, will administer the oath of office to the newly elected trustees, Serfoss and Wolfe.
An election of officers and board appointments also will be held to select a board chair, vice chair, secretary, Illinois Community College Trustee Association (ICCTA) representative, ICCTA alternate representative, board attorneys and college treasurer.
The newly seated trustees also will determine the new board meeting calendar that will set the time, dates and place of future meetings.
The Danville Area Community College Board of Trustees has set a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the DACC Board Room, Vermilion Hall 302.
