Library presents display
The Hoopeston Public Library has used its archival documents to celebrate the town of East Lynn in the library’s Reading Room display case.
The current arrangement provides articles, a vintage map, yearbooks and a brief history.
The town, founded in 1872, is one of the few villages in the U.S. which is named after both and novel and a play, “East Lynne.” The library offers the display as a tribute to the many towns that are a part of the District.
